texte = I just want to chime in to say 'thanks' and tosay how cool I think this is. ;-)WebDNA is now owned by by it's long time users. Not even 1 year since the purchase, and around300 subversion revisions later, we are soonreleasing the (promised) CICADA gold product. This is still a free product for 6.x owners. The Goal of CICADA for WSC was to gain controlof the development scope (learn about the product) and to release and repackage,as soon as possible, a free-to-6.x-owners productthat was compatible with all the most popularplatforms/web servers. I think we've done thisjob well.It contains:* First ever 64 bit install options (linux)* Fat binary plugin for MacOSX (x86_64 i386)* Automatic iTools 9x support for the MacTel installer.* First ever out-of-the-box-support for *many* of the most popular Linux Distros.* Much Cheaper price than any time in history* Improved Order Security (Orderfile Encryption)* Some Language Improvements. (ever have to create a text variable that keeps track of what index of what loop you are in?? Maybe not, but I sure have. :-).. No more, with improved variable scoping.)* Shiny new (Web2.0) Admin* A new, Developer Owned, Company with the sole purpose of nurturing WebDNA.Expect a release by next week. For now, we haveposted a "pre-gold gold" 6.2 product for immediatedownload at http://dev.webdna.us/products.htmlfor MacTool. (We will be replacing this installerwith a new installer in a few days that will fixminor things such as spelling errors, and somepreferred permissions changes etc..).Version 7 work will begin soon after the CICADA release. We have listened closely to all the desired changes thathave been expressed over the years, and implementing manyof those features/changes is the mission for version 7,AKA, "PHOENIX".Regarding Shares, with a new Marketing person on board, and a new product launch ahead, now is a good time tobecome a part of the company I think. ;-)Cheers!Donovan-- Donovan BrookeWebDNA Software Corporationhttp://www.webdna.us**[Square Bracket Utopia]**
