One of the things that the FreeBSD junkies like to see is that software = vendors supporting that platform use the "ports" system, which is pretty = much a repository of sources for compatible installers maintained by = vendors. Within the file structure for FreeBSD is a /ports directors further = divided into categories. In each category are the appropriate commands = to download latest versions, build and install. OS X uses MacPorts, = which must have originated here. Maybe we can kill 2 birds with one = stone. On the other hand, the FastCGI probably kills all the birds at once.
