texte = After using other techniques early in my career, I have come to the conclusion that the best way (for me anyways) is to use separate date and time fields -- just like you are already doing now. Not only does this make manual viewing of these values in the database fast and easy for humans, but it also makes WebDNA coding easier since you're using the [date] and [time] tags directly.
