What I did to discover this is put in a few lines of text for testing purposes. Then after I got my snytax right, I went back and added a bunch of text to one textarea. It took it the first time. But I noticed a typo so went to correct it, no dice. Then I tried to change another field of this record with 8 characters in it, no dice. So then I deleted the record and put the whole thing in again from scratch. It took it just fine, but I could not change it if I wanted to. Then I created new record with a small amount of text in the text block and I could change any field I wanted. Doing a get info on the db with just my one large record shows it at 1,034 bytes. Hope this helps.=============================================== Gary Richter PanaVise Products, Inc. 7540 Colbert Dr. Reno, Nevada 89511 Ph: 702.850.2900 Fx: 702.850.2929 Email: grichter@panavise.com http://www.panavise.com =============================================== Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
