I tried to pick it =up a couple of years ago, but since I was a newbie programmer, I've gone wi=th PHP and MySQL for development now. I started taking online classes in PH=P and MySQL, and have developed several web applications with those languag=es and technologies. There is so much material and ready help online for PH=P.
I have two applications that were= developed by other programmers for me in WebDNA. That is why I still recei=ve and read all the messages on this forum. I want to understand WebDNA as much as possible, to be able to keep those applications maintained, alive,= and intact. But I really have no comfort level with WebDNA, as I do with P=HP now.
I enjoy observing the goodwi=ll, generosity, and camaraderie on this forum. It feels like a social struc=ture unto itself... like a village. I've had fun since yesterday, watching =the people whose names I've never seen on this forum coming out of the wood=work. I guess I'm not the only one hanging around in the background, watchi=ng WebDNA life happen. :-)

Still using WebDNA. Been here since 1996 wh=en we were using WebCat and only had a single database to work with. Olin a=nd I worked together in Hawaii on some multilingual websites (WebCat was on=e of the only systems that wouldn't hose the encoding of double byte chars)= and he got me hooked on the squared brackets! I'm still using WebDNA as is= Olin. Not surprised to see so many of us here after so many years but I'd =like to know if there is anyone out there who just picked up WebDNA for the= first time within the last few years.
Merry Christmas!
