Well, I listened and have started WebDNA[vps], which is a managed Linode-based WebDNA VPS solution. No shared hosting; you will have your own box. I handle the servers and you code. Full stop. I'm keeping it simple until I can gauge real interest, so as of right now: - The only offered OS is CentOS/Apache - The only offered WebDNA version is 6.2 - The only offered platform is Linode, and - The WebDNA[vps] website itself is still very much a work in progress. If the interest is there to justify it, I'll expand to other setups (like Ubuntu) and I may even offer more bare-bones, non-Linode setups, cheap dev servers, etc., but as I said, we'll see... your interest will also dictate the pace of my work on the Support/Knowledge-Base as well as the Payment Portal (for now I'm going to handle everything via email and PayPal (or check)). I have recently finished moving Alex McCombie over to Linode and he has graciously offered to answer anybody's questions about his experience so far. His email is: <*a*lex@mccombie.com> and I encourage you to contact him. In fact I just posted his 167-tick results to the WebDNA speed test (search for "Linode") - http://www.euca.us/webdnatest/show_speed.html There is more to say and I'm sure some of you will have questions, but out of respect to the list (and the other hosts on here), I will not discuss this any further on-list. Please feel free to contact me directly. As I see FAQ's forming from your inquiries, I'll post them on the website. Thanks and I'm looking forward to being able to help you and to help keep moving WebDNA forward. -Dan Strong http://DanStrong.com --001a1136286089bc4f04f1d930b9 Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
