texte = 1534 I hear what you=E2=80=99re saying. My sites also predated current solutions -= heck, Webdna predated php. Like you, I believe my sites are much easier to m= anage than Wordpress and Etsy. My reservation site is pretty user friendly a= nd offers better options than eventbrite. It self-installs for new clients a= nd is hands-off for my part. And my sites=E2=80=99 relative simplicity makes= them faster and stabler. However, there=E2=80=99s no way I can keep up with= the changing internet. I=E2=80=99m just me myself and I. No marketing arm, d= edicated programming and design departments, etc. The thing that finally pus= hed me to quit my merchant account, besides the high fees, was when my Webdn= a integration quit working. As I am trying to retire, it was totally not wor= th my time to reprogram. It was easier to comment out the credit card option= and let PayPal stand. As for sales... massive traffic comes to Etsy. I sell the same stuff on my o= wn site, but honestly I can=E2=80=99t remember the last time I made a sale t= here. They are constant on Etsy though. That=E2=80=99s the reason for using E= tsy. As for Wordpress, I use it for a club I belong to. This way they can ho= st it at their existing host and I can move on and let someone else take ove= r without any disruption. I=E2=80=99m not a regular blogger, but I find Wor= dpress is nicer when interfacing with other bloggers. Like I say, the intern= et changes, and the rest of the world makes use of current options. I do sti= ll have custom sites that my clients could not have had with canned solution= s like Etsy or Wordpress. They are perfectly happy.=20 Those of you with large successful enterprises would naturally do things a l= ittle differently from small operators like myself.
