I always use the LTS(Long Term Support) versions of Ubuntu because they arewell-supported for 5 years and there's tons of online resourcesavailable for Ubuntu to help answer questions.I have never tested the "WebDNA Server 8.5.1 for Ubuntu 15" butthe "WebDNA Server 8.5.1 for Ubuntu 14" installer works great onUbuntu 16.04 LTS except for one problem: It does not set thecorrect folder/file permissions ...This results in WebDNA failing to save to dbs (and may alsoprevent writing to existing and/or creating new files) until yourecursively set user/group permissions for /var/www/html and/usr/lib/cgi-bin/WebCatalogEngine to www-data/www-data. Then itworks just fine.Regards,Kenneth GromeWebDNA Solutionshttp://www.webdnasolutions.comWeb Database Systems and Linux Server AdministrationOn 04/30/2018 10:24 PM, Diane Blackmore wrote:> Hi>=20> Interested in the Linux WebDNA Server 8.6.
