Once upon a time I tried to get WebDNA and cPanel running on the same Linux server, so I setup the server with WebDNA and then installed cPanel ... The cPanel installation immediately overwrote the changes I had made to one of Apache's config files. So I manually edited that file again, to undo what the cPanel installer had overwritten, and I thought this would probably fix the problem, at least until I had to reinstall cPanel again. Nope! It turns out that cPanel was programmed to overwrite the Apache config file once or several times a day, and every time it did this it would break WebDNA again. I thought about writing a script that would compare my WebDNA-compatible version of that Apache config file with the currently running version, and if the script found any differences it would immediately overwrite that file with my WebDNA-compatible version again. But this is a lame way to setup and run a web server, so I abandoned the idea, and instead I concluded that cPanel and WebDNA are simply not compatible. But it's been a while, so maybe things have changed?
