texte = I have a site that has some pictures/sound files/movies that are accessible through html files. These pages are all protected via the [protect] function. However I need to protect the users from getting into the folders where these files are located by keying it the full url. Once they figure out the pattern they would be able to subvert the process. Can I assign a new username and password that will be loaded by netscape and will allow access to the new items via html that won't be known by the user and cannot be seen by the user. Mapped something like this.index.html-----link to resources.tmplresources.tmpl ----- interogates the users.db looking for users if ok'd user reads page and is assigned via hidden html a new username and password( I don't know enough about browsers to talk intelligently here). user then can access any of the other links without having seen the new username/password assigned not could they have looked at the html to see it.Am I making sense here?Robert Minor_________________________________CybermillA Website Publishing Company8616 JosephSt. Louis, Missouri 63144voice 314.962.4024fax 314.645.4193http://www.cybermill.com_________________________________
