texte = The shopping cart/ order file has a field for unit ship cost, but I think I need a field for unit weight also.I'm trying to base shipping cost on total quantity weight, and each catalog item has a weight. What is the 'proper' way to arrive at the total weight for a given quantity of each items, add the total of these for the total weight of the entire order, then perform a lookup to determine final shipping cost.Is it easier or more sensible to calculate individual ship cost by unit, then multiply by quantity, then add these line totals to arrive at total shipping cost.Also, I'm still confused about which variables I need to pass between shopping cart & order file, and which are 'there' by virtue of the file format, itself.Thanks Pat McCormick Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
