Or, do I need to build my entire>site using acgi?>I run 100% of my pages thru webcatalog. suffix mapping of .tpl, .tmpl,.htm. .html all go to webcat. You do not need to call the acgi, forget those samples on the docs. If youuse the other examples it will run either with the plug-in or the acgi. Iused to change back and forth in the early 2.0 beta days to compare speed. That said design your site using http://www.yoursite.com/ thru out but withthe acgi. Then in your shopping pages where you are ready for the personto check out and throw down a credit card then and only then move them tothe secure server with the https://www.yourserver.com/entercredit.html. (orwhat ever you call the page) Try to use no graphics on your https pages. The entire page is encyrted, graphics and all. Give your ssl version ofwebstar a few connections. It will not do much other the do the creditcard stuff. The ssl version is slower then the regular version of webstar.Use the regular version to disply your items for sale, add to theirshopping cart, etc. Now keep in mind the if you use the plug-in, twoversions of webstar running on the same server can not share the sameplug-ins. And the webcat data is kept in ram for open db's. So the sslversion would never know what the regular version was up to. But with theacgi both the regular version and the ssl version can share data in ram.Think of the acgi as a complete program unto it's self, stakes out it's ownram for the databases to use. When you use the plug-in that data area isfolded into the webstar ram partion. So with both the reg ver and the sslver running with plug-ins in each, the ram is not pooled, it is seperatefor each copy of webstar running. And they can't not talk to each other.Clear as Mud I bet :)At least this is my understanding that I operate from.===============================================Gary Richter PanaVise Products, Inc. 7540 Colbert Dr. Reno, Nevada 89511 Ph: 702.850.2900 Fx: 702.850.2929 Email: grichter@panavise.com http://www.panavise.com===============================================
