texte = Here's something interesting I just discovered, maybe because I'm using Internet Explorer, or maybe because I never tried this with Netscape -- but either way, it could have an effect on your variable values if you ever use fields named x or y in your forms ...Here's my search form, it only has one field named value. Instead of a regular Submit button I'm using a .gif file ...
Here's what happens:When I enter a value (such as t in this example) into the value field and hit the Return key, no x or y values are posted:1 value tBut when I click that .gif button to submit the form, x and y values get posted to my results template, and those values show up in my [formvariables] context:1 value t2 x 103 y 6I never used a .gif file as a form button until now, so you may already know this if you've done it before, but it DOES suggest that you had better *not* use fields named x or y at the same time you're using an image file as your form's Submit button -- or else those x and y values might be used by WebCatalog *instead* of the x and y values you *thought* would be entered via your form fields!Sincerely,Ken Grome808-737-6499WebDNA Solutionsmailto:ken@webdna.nethttp://www.webdna.net
