texte = I was finally able to solve my problems with truncated emails in Eudora.I am happy to report that this was not a WebCatalog problem. My situation involved editing templates on a Mac using BBEDIT for use on anNT Web server.By adjusting my BBEDIT pref's so that the DEFAULT SAVE STATE=NONE andDEFAULT LINE BREAKS=DOS,and setting FORCE CR AT END WHEN SAVING, I was able to solve my problem.Hooray!Another separate problem occurs for many users when using SENDMAIL to sendthe contents of textarea fields. The solution to this problem is to createa custom convercharacters table so that your template reads:[Sendmail...][convertchars mailconversions.db][NAME_OF_TEXTAREA_FIELD][/convertchars][/sendmail]where the contents of mailconversions.db is as follows:FROM TO%0B space%0D space(note: those are zeros not o's; also the space is just a space)I have been unable to find the character code to send hard returns (asopposed to spaces) in a sendmail;if anyone knows how to do this, please post. One somewhat cumbersomesolution would be to set the TO field value to [include space.txt] andhaving the hard return in a text file. Thanks to everyone for their help.Steve-----------------------------------------------------------------------Steve Rosenbaum Pop Art L.L.C. http://pop-art.comsteve@pop-art.com Networks / Databases / Multimedia7000 SW Hampton St., Suite 124, tel: (503) 968.5957Tigard, OR 97223-8361 fax: (503) 620.8487
