What I did was was launch the WS on a client box brand new as it requires new serial numbers and listens, and bump the mem and all that good stuff. Did the same with webcat 3.0.1 cause it needs new serial numbers also. Shut that down and moved the pieces over onto server that was double backed up to jaz drive and to a spare hard drive (just in case). Let WS run 24 hrs with WC2.1.3 and when I had no problems, backed up wc files only, then moved in 3.0.1 with the settings from the client box as explained above and on 4 installs this worked prefect. The 5th one I have a problem which is yet to be figured out. But taking it right back to 2.1.3 was a matter of moving one folder out and another right back in and was down for less then a couple of minutes.Make sure if you are going to upgrade your web*, you go to 3.0.2b7, and if you use webstar data cache go to I think b4 is the newest. There are still some issues with the ftp plug-in (I use Rumpus instead). The directory indexer and virtual hosts are also in beta with many issues solved and run rock solid for me atleast.=============================================== Gary Richter PanaVise Products, Inc. 7540 Colbert Dr. Reno, Nevada 89511 Ph: 702.850.2900 Fx: 702.850.2929 Email: grichter@panavise.com http://www.panavise.com =============================================== Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
