texte = These shouldn't be an exception. The check-digit algorithm is not meant to be used specifically for a particular credit card. Thus we can't say for sure that the bank that is given the 4321 prefix won't ever ever ever use, in some way, the valid card number 4321 4321 4321 4321. A good example of why this shouldn't be an exception (and why it won't be changed) is that many payment processing systems have dummy numbers that can be used for testing. One of the standard dummy numbers (in addition to the ones you mentioned) is 4444333322221111. If we didn't pass this number, you would never be allowed to test WebMerchant with the clearing house. However, I don't disagree that you should try to weed out card numbers that, in your experience, are not good. To do this, make your own database of bad numbers, and look through it before handing the number off to the purchase command. This gives you complete control and doesn't decrease flexibility.
