texte = Ken & Conrad, thank you both for your input. I like both of your perspectives as I like to take in the extremes when trying to find the balance. Ken I am always grateful for your probing nature as I too try to understand all the variables that factor in so I can plot my own course... Conrad do you know why emailer crashes when anamperasand is in the title field? I am asking you so I can be sure to avoid that kind of situation. I am not yet in such good habit to always remember to do the right thing everywhere, but I also feel the need to use amperasands... so at least for now it would be nice to know exactly why amperasands were causing your webcatto crash... You found the crashes happened when you tried to use a [sendmail] that had a field containing an amperesand in its value in the body of the email? Or within the sendmail context itself, or...?Regarding my crashing template - when I upload the very same files (template and db) to a mac (and Craig, the tech, even tried on his NT and found no problems) they work perfect. I am waiting to hear how it fairs on his Linux. I did the filemaker import/export so it is not a corrupt db, and also note that the same db can beaccessed and all records found in another template, no problem - even on my Linux. So it may be something in the way the Linux is set up, or who knows... not me, yet.;-)-John-------------------------------------------------------------Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server. To end your Mail problems go to
