Normalizing Dates and Phone numbers

texte = Newbie here. Pardon and point me if this is a FAQ somewhere.I want to normalize dates and phone numbers as they are entered into the database. Some people enter phone numbers as: 408-555-1212 (408)555-1212 408/555-1212 1-(408)555-1212 555-1212 408 555 1212This turns into a bit of a mess. Is there some neat trick for converting all of these to one format during input before they get added to the database? I could set up separate fields, but that is not much better.Same thing for the date.If there is not, it sure would make a good enhancement to add such a WebCat Tag. -Chuck-__________________________________________________________________________ Chuck Rice
