texte = If you do a RAID 5 on the 3-4.5gb drives, you will only have 9gb of usable space, as the three drives can rebuild each other if one dies. . .good to have a 4th 'spare' just in case for that reason.depending on how many sites you host, 9gb goes very fast with 10-20 clients and all of their images, databases, and crap.Might as well go big on the drives with RAID5, as they are getting cheap. . .3-18gb drives in raid 5 would hold down the fort, plus a spare. just my opinion...I did 3-18gb 10k rpm quantum atlas ultra wide drives in RAID5 with an adaptec 32mb cache SCSI card to tie them all together in an NT box. . .No complaints so far. . .
