You won't need to go to a text editor.I was laying this out in GoLive before posting -- it put all the tags in purple boxes where you could click on them and edit their values in the Tag Inspector. Well, except for the text variable definitions. Their names showed on the page as HTML text. I imagine the text tag would be changed to include the name as an attribute as well. ... I don't know whether seeing all the tags in a row of purple boxes stripped of their attributes makes it easier or more difficult to follow the flow of the code (what is this? *click* what is this? *click* ...), but it *is* wonderful to know that GoLive isn't going to stomp all over my code if I happen to go into visual mode! (other than stripping out the carriage returns I have in there for legibility -- GoLive still trashes those at the drop of a hat.)Understand, I think these changes to the syntax overall are a good idea (and I've never liked the current practice of stringing attributes together in pseudo-URL style with ampersands). I'm just hoping that it doesn't go so far as to making it easier on the computer at the expense of us mere mortals (some of us whom *like* using a text editor to edit code : )Rob Marquardt Designer/Resident Wirehead Toast Design800 Washington Avenue North Minneapolis MN 55401 612.330.9863 v 612.321.9424 f www.toastdesign.com ############################################################# This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
