It does not have anythingto do with the templates being used; all of the admin templates are just as slow(and I am talking 5 seconds to bring up the first admin page after entering thepassword).Running O'Reilly's WebSite, NT 4/SP5, 256MB RAM. No configuration changedexcept for loading WebCat 3.0.7.Hmmmm... did Grant forget to switch from debug build to release build???John Peacock____________________Reply Separator____________________Subject: Re: WC slowness on NT Author:

Any help/advice would be appreciated.NT has a tool called Perfmon that lets you monitor aspects of running programs (like DBServer.exe) to see how much RAM they are using, how many times the disk is hit during virtual memory swapping, etc. You can get a good starting point there. Also try to localize a specific template that is slower than others -- you can usually see Perfmon spike the CPU usage when that particular template is hit. Perhaps there is something in that template that can be optimized.Technical Support **********************************Smith Micro, Internet Solutions Div | eCommerce (WebCatalog)16855 West Bernardo Drive, #380 | -------------------------San Diego, CA 92127 | Software & Site DevelopmentWebCatalog Support: (858) 675-0632 | http://www.smithmicro.com Fax: (858) 675-0372 **********************************-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .To unsubscribe, E-mail to: To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to
