Would it be prudent to start a discussion of what kind ofparameters and functionality are going to be available with this context? There are many of us who have played a lot with upload alternatives in theabsense of a purly Webcat solution and in doing so have a good idea of whatfunctionality is important to make file upload forms useful. To start, theobvious ommissions to the WebStar Upload plugin that are most useful are:1. Option to write over, reject, or rename a file if one already exists. This should be a context parameter and not a global preference.2. Context or token indicating successful or failed upload. This isimportant for functionality such as [showif [SuccessfulUpload]=F]Sorry, thefile was not uploaded properly, please try again. [includefile=TheUploadForm][/showif]3. Contextual option for upload directory, and for WebStar, &secure=T/F4. InternetConfig for file types on mac if secure=F. Unless you have abetter solution. But it seems to have become a standard, ala: Apple'sInternet control panel.5. Of course, all formvariables should be available on return page. Waytoo obvious, but I thought I'd throw it out there because it's the mainreason the WebStar plugin is mostly unusable with Webcatalog.Mike> We have posted a URL for the online technical docs.> > http://betadoc.smithmicro.com/> > Also the pdfs of the new manuals - completely new approach are on> ftp://ftp.isd.smithmicro.com/Beta/> > Thanks everyone for jumping on helping us to test this product!> > Jay Van Vark ***********************************> Smith Micro, Internet Solutions Div | eCommerce (WebCatalog)> 16855 West Bernardo Drive | Software & Site Development> Suite 380 | http://www.smithmicro.com/isd> San Diego, CA 92127 | -------------------------> 858.675.1106 | Wireless WebDNA> 858.675.0372 (fax) ***********************************#############################################################This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
