It keeps the original formatting.

texte = Let's go over the variable precedence issues again. If I have adatabasefield called [format], how does that operate with the builtin function[format 20s]? Since we are having problems with exactly that symptom, Isuggested to Jodi that she rewrite the page using the XML style tags. This would be another example of sloppy parsing; the other being [date](the order header field) vs the function [date format=%m/%d/%Y]. If the parser does not check for the closing ] and jumps immediately to the field rather than the function, this would explain the behavior we are seeing with [format]. I had asked this to be fixed a while ago, but itstill seems bad.John Peacockjburgess@rowmanlittlefield.com wrote:> > we're running WC 4.0 for Window NT.> > We have a sendmail text that includes lineitem details with the following> formatting:> > [lineItems]> [format 20s][textB][/format] [format 40s][textA][/format] [format> 3.0f][quantity][/format] [format 10.2f][price][/format]> [/lineItems]> > This is how the text is out-put:> > [first line item]> > C20s]0-8476-9719-3Error: Error: expected [/LINEITEMS], but found [/format]> instead[/format] C40s]The Essential Civil Society ReaderError: Error: expected> [/LINEITEMS], but found [/format] instead[/format] C3.0f]1Error: Error: expected> [/LINEITEMS], but found [/format] instead[/format] C10.2f]22.95Error: Error:> expected [/LINEITEMS], but found [/format] instead[/format]> > [second line item, no textB]> 15% Discount 1 -3.44> > I took out all of the formatting for now on our site, so it won't break, but it> looks horrible.
