So if you don't know where to find it, try find / -name sudoers)if you need help on how to configure the file, try man sudoers Also: Make sure that you edit the sudoers file with the visudo command, and not with the normal vi. I don't know why but it says that in the docs! Here is the line that I had to put in my sudoers-file to grant access to the webuser to a certain script:webuserALL=NOPASSWD:/export/webroot/admin/rbt.shin your case this would bewwwALL=NOPASSWD:/usr/sbin/traceroutethe of course needs to be replaced by a real tabulator or space(s)Ciao,PeterOn Wed, 18 Jul 2001 00:51:57 Aaron Lynch wrote: > How would that work? > > [shell]sudo traceroute somedomain.com[/shell] > > At which point the shell wants a password. > > > > On 7/18/01 12:36 AM, The Defendant Peter Werno > Confessed: > > > I would recommend using sudo.
