Email Not Going out (OS X Jag Client)

texte = I'm having trouble getting the mail to work using the [sendmail] context under WebDNA 4.5/OSX 10.2 client. I have the mail settings set to use an external mail server on the same LAN connection. What is happening is, the messages in the EmailFolder are getting renamed with the xxxxxxdone string, but they don't move out of the EmailFolder into the EmailCompleted folder, and the logs of the smtp server it is supposed to be sending through don't show that any smtp connection has been made. Both EmailFolder and EmailCompleted folders are mode 755, owner www:wwwAny suggestions as to what to do next? Also, having been spoiled by SIMS, before this problem occurred, when the mail was working, it seemed to be quite slow. I changed the tick setting to 1 and it still seemed slow compared to what SIMS would do. Changing the smtp server to localhost and running sendmail locally didn't seem to help with the speed either. Is this what I should expect to see, performance wise, from the OS X smtp module in WebDNA?Oh, one last thing. Prior to the problem I'm having now, the EmailCompleted folder seemed to be collecting sent messages without any method of deleting or expiring them. The folder got so full that I had to rm the files from the command line, and even at that, had to do them in (relatively) small groups so that rm wouldn't choke with a /bin/rm: Argument list too long. error. Shouldn't there be some methodology whereby WebDNA deletes old files much like it does with Shopping Carts? I hope so, because otherwise I'll have tens of thousands of files in the EmailCompleted folder in just a few weeks.Thanks,Mike-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
