Over the past few weeks I have been coding here and there building a database import system that will allow a user to upload and import a database into any existing database in a designated folder. This would definately be my entry, but since I have spent so much time working on it, there is no way I would put it up unencrypted since it could have potential resale value. This rule may hurt creativeness as I am sure may of us have written some pretty talented code.Maybe users could just upload their name and email which would remain private until a winner is found, then put a link to their script which is on their own server. This way no one has to worry about having users upload potentially harmful code to their server.Brian ----- Original Message ----- From: Alain Russell To: WebCatalog Talk Sent: Saturday, November 09, 2002 1:30 AM Subject: Re: WebDNA Challenge - Was: Why WebDNA is not popular > That sounds a paranoid Ken .. > > I'm not sure you'll find a volunteer for a server here if submissions are > loaded via the web anonymously - I don't mind if it's anonymous but I want > to know who wrote code and I want to check it before it runs on my server. > > I think judges that are our 'peers' would be good.
