texte = We've been using Dreamweaver for over 2 years with WebDNA and have prettymuch had good luck. The idiosyncrasies in using hideif/showif code in
is annoying and for complicated coding, we'll just insert an includereference so the page doesn't look crazy in the editor. The other commentsabout settings for .tpl files and the like are valid. There is one caution. If you're using MX, be sure to use the 6.1 version. The initial release had a nasty Dreamweaver template bug (on both windowsand Mac OS9/X) that caused relative links to get their embedded WebDNA,specifically the [ and ] replaced by their numeric character entityequivalents, which of course caused the code to fail. That really hosed uson a project and no manner of preferences tweaking could resolve it. You hadto use absolute links. That is now fixed in the 6.1 update. The choice of editors is a very personal one, but we're very happy withDreamweaver. And there's always Coldfusion in case things get dodgy withSmith Micro... ;-)You can see some of our work at http://www.mecumauction.com,www.kinzemfg.com, www.vermeerag.com and www.racelegends.com (this includes astore).Richard KirsnerKG InterDev.
