texte = Thanks Nitai. Does it matter what user and group the ProFTPD process=20 is running as? The default conf file tries to run the server daemon as=20= a user and group that isn't present on a stock OS X install. In your=20 example, how is authentication done/how does the server know to=20 restrict a user to a certain directory? Also, can this setup be=20 modified to consult with a users file instead of hard coding the=20 user/pass?
