texte = ah, okay. Just seems a weird thing to do then if you know how many results are going to be replaced. Is there some performance advantage in telling it to do only as many as you know there are? *obviously* i would have more criteria. that was a simple example for demo purposes only. i just wanted to know if it would work before i tried it on a live customer database of more than 10000 records. i remembered seeing it written somewhere that everything in a [search] would work in a [replace] and [delete] also, but i just wanted to get someone else to confirm it before putting my neck on the chopping block. thanks, matt ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
