The original pilgrims chose to land at plymouth rock because they were forced to due to time constraints in preparing to harvest crop for beer. If they didn't take shore there they could possibly miss the growing season for the products used to make beer. http://www.beerinstitute.org/history3.htm So this thanksgiving toss a frothy mug of your favorite brew.
