texte = sometimes webdna has to bite the bullet and send a couple of webDNA engineers to NY or something for training. I'd pay a hundred or couple of hundred it the agenda was good. Most marketing dollars get flushed down the toilet on ineffective advertisement etc etc. At least they'd be doing the community a direct service. 500-1000 per for airfair 500-1000 for hotel rooms 400-800 to use a conference room at a hotel for 8 hours 1000-2000 for food and other expenses... 5000-6000 for 1 show (a little more then 1 cut of enterprise) if twenty people attended then it would cost them approximately 250.00 per and SM would have little to no expense. If SM absorbed it then if they managed to sell 1 extra cut of enterprise they would break even. Yeah, I know the budget isn't tremendous, but we don't need to pay for extra glitz, we just need to sit and learn from the experts. We need to be treated like the good/loyal customers that we are. Also, if anybody says it can't be done in a budget like that, I think you are mistaken. This doesn't need to be macworld. Even if it was twice the budget, as long as SM was able to obtain the enough preregistrations, then its still not a tremendous marketing risk. On Feb 27, 2004, at 10:50 AM, Kimberly D.
