You can change field values such as date fields for example, but this does not change the position of the record in the database, it only changes the field values while leaving the db record in the exact same position.Only way to change the record position is to delete the record (which in the case of the file system's database means removing the file from its folder) then to append it again (which means moving the file back into that same folder).
