There are ways to make it still look to the outside world (users, search engines) as though the individual pages exist if necessary. If you do need all the files individually, perhaps a hierarchical folder scheme could be implemented to make file management easier - folders for each file beginning with "A", "B", "123", etc. - Brian On Sep 10, 2004, at 10:08 AM, Donovan Brooke wrote: > Hi Paul, > write your listfile names to a database or (preferably) a table. > > Then you can search db/table and do a shownext for the links. > You also have the ability of sorting etc.. > > Donovan > > > > Paul Berman wrote: > >> Hi >> Many thnaks for the help on the hideing from certain IP's it worked >> 100% >> Have another little issue with listfiles >> I have an advert site running, the site generates pages by there sku >> number >> but the tags etc are related to the advert and the title of the >> advert. >> its grown and now there are some 19000 fiels in the folder so the >> listfiles >> makes some enormous page with links >> What I need to do is to make it show the first 150 and then links to >> the >> next 150 etc >> how would I do this? >> The concept worked really well for a few hundred pages and in fact >> excellent >> for search engines etc >> THanks >> Paul -- Brian Fries, BrainScan Software -- http://www.brainscansoftware.com -- ------------------------------------------------------------- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .
