texte = The batch processing thread got me fired up about an idea again... We drop ship everything and work with about 40 vendors nationwide. There are two problems with that concept: ( 1) we never know in real time when something has shipped, and (2) we are hostage to whatever shipping charges our vendors decide to bill us. There _must_ to be a way to upload customer shipping data to UPS or FedEx, using _our_ account. The vendor could trigger the process when the item is ready to ship. They print the shipping label and it's ready for pickup. So (1) we know when it ships in real time and (2) we only pay actual costs. Has anyone built something like this, or pieces of it? Getting info from UPS and FedEx has been a struggle, to put it mildly.
