texte = I just realized clean() is actually defined function in the book I'm reading. It usese two commands to "clean" the field: substr() and EscapeShellCmd().It uses substr() to limit the field (which I can mimic with [getchars]) and then it uses EscapeShellCmd(); to escape out unix commands so they can be passed to MySQL.
