Size Limitation through a POST via SSL?

texte = There appears to be a maximum size to a form submitted through SSL from various browsers. That is the only thing I can think of to explain a problem I am having with submitting a from through WebCat. Each browser appears to have a different threshold, but IE 5 for the Mac appears to have the least ability (around only 1000 characters). If the same form is used through a non-secure connection, there appears to be no problem. If the form is large enough, eventually all browsers (Safari, Firefox, Opera, Netscape) in both Mac and Windows fail. IE6 for Windows appears to have the greatest threshold. Can anyone confirm this limitation? Does anyone know of a workaround? The form that I am attempting to submit is not very large. I cannot see how the problem can be related to either my server (WebStar 5.4) or WebCat 4.5.1. The form that I am using for testing can be viewed by anyone at https://secure.webbuilders.com/page1.html. The page that it submits to (page2.tpl) contains nothing more than the code [formvariables][name]=[value]
[/formvariables]. Yet with IE5 for the Mac (under OS9 or OSX) the form will not properly submit, and all that is served back from the server is a blank page.Any assistance or other pertinent info would be appreciated.Thanks,Dennis-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list
