texte = I haven't had the chance to use autonumber yet, so forgive any error here - but per Stuart's example in the docs, it looks to me that he has assigned the autonumber to a text variable. Perhaps you have to do that (i.e., it doesn't automatically create a variable named "lastautonumber")?
