We setup a lot of Oracle Databas=es and this has shown to increase performance a lot, but these ti=ps are not only related to Oracle.1. Change the path of TMP and TEMP Directory to another location=20=then the default.2. Name your network adapter3. Best performance for Background Processes4. Create a pagefile of the site 2.5 x Ram installed5. Reduce visual effects6. Don't use any Screen Savers !7. Check Services and Startups for unnecessary items8. Since Windows Server 2003 is by default a File-Server change t=he Network-Performance to maximum. 9. If you can use a very fast HardDisk.
