(212) 555-1212I've put together several .mobi websites.What you will find is that the href="tel:" will not work in all cell phones. Some cell phones will ignore it, some will issue an error that the website is trying to make a phone call and ask for approval, some will just work. From my minimal testing (since I don't own one) the iPhone is a normal web browser and it probably will not understand the tel: tag.
