So, we added = an IP phone with virtual office from Packet8, and that has worked OK since = then, short for the nuisance of having the physical handset hardware taking= up valuable desk space. And the voice quality on Packet 8 can be quite cra= ppy at times. The phone system in the oral surgery office is a 10 year old modular Panaso= nic system that has worked well, but I'm certain there's a better way to do= things. Our ILEC is Verizon, and the phone traffic is all IP anyways sinc= e we have FIOS (fiber), but I'm fairly certain any solution from Verizon wi= ll be ridiculously expensive. Oh, and CommuniGate Pro is our mail server. Handling phone traffic for all of this is turning into= a hassle.
