It keeps the original formatting.
numero = 106847
interpreted = N
texte = Lori, I've found it's safest to use UNIX line endings since I work between PC/Mac/Linux. I don't know the mechanics or reasons why it works (maybe someone else can fill in the blanks), but I know that UNIX line-endings transfer across all 3 platforms without getting mangled. So in your text-editor, or whatever program you're using to edit the .db files, (personally I alternate between Notepad++ (PC), BBedit (Mac), and Dreamweaver (either) as needed. They all allow for choice of line endings in their respective settings/preferences. -Dan Strong -------------------------- http://www.DanStrong.com http://www.PLSNV.com On 7/2/2011 1:12 PM, Kenneth Grome wrote: > it sounds like the db is not being formatted properly upon > export. > > Sincerely, > Kenneth Grome > > > >> Why is it that sometimes when I bring a db file into >> WebDNA, the program cuts the number of records in half, >> and puts the records on every other line? >> >> >> >> I am working with a PC computer and server IIS7, and I >> know about needing a carriage return and a line feed at >> the end of every line, including the first line with the >> field names.
