Yes I know it is dangerous, but some things just =don=92t install correctly using sudo
Just type su when you =need it.
btw, if you don=92t have a password =set as root, in OSX just type
sudo passwd =root
the first password you type is your (admin) =password
then you type the root password - make it =different
