Few notes about installers=E2=80=A6
WebDNA.fcgi is installed in a /WebDNA directory inside every website. The a=pache config has a number of lines added to map the suffixes and make the C=GI ran by apache for these suffixes.
WebDNA server is inside a /WebCataloEngine directory inside a /cgi-bin dire=ctory. A /webcatalog folder inside the webserver root gives access to the a=dministration. The apache config has a number of lines added to map the suf=fixes and make the module ran by apache for these suffixes.
Each installer script we build must consider the apache version, the apache= configuration (this highly depends on the OS), the OS structure (websites =in /var/www o /var/www/html), the client MySQL version, the OpenSSL version==E2=80=A6 resulting in pretty high number of solutions.
Furthermore, with every new OS version, the editors change the versions of =the dependencies, modify the syntax of the configuration files and the plac=e where they can be found etc=E2=80=A6
However, WebDNA.fcgi can run on any OS, any web server (apache, nginx, ligh=ttpd, zeus, =E2=80=A6) and any configuration, and WebDNA server can run wit=h almost any apache version. It is a matter to find the right combination o=f modifications.
What we designed with the installer scripts is based on absolutely standard=, freshly installed OS. It will not run on Ubuntu 16 (yet), CentOS 5, or cP=anel, or Webmin, or PLESK without any modification in the configuration.
If you have a problem with a standard configuration, just drop us a request= at support@webdna.us . We will he=lp you, as we always did. It serves no one to complain to the talk-list.
If you need an installation on a customized OS, you will need to understand= how WebDNA works with the Webserver. Or we might be able to help you, but =you will have to understand there would be a small fee for our time.
