I am happy to report that this was not a WebCatalog problem. My situation involved editing templates on a Mac using BBEDIT for use on an NT Web server. By adjusting my BBEDIT pref's so that the DEFAULT SAVE STATE=NONE and DEFAULT LINE BREAKS=DOS, and setting FORCE CR AT END WHEN SAVING, I was able to solve my problem. Hooray!Another separate problem occurs for many users when using SENDMAIL to send the contents of textarea fields. The solution to this problem is to create a custom convercharacters table so that your template reads:[Sendmail...] [convertchars mailconversions.db][NAME_OF_TEXTAREA_FIELD][/convertchars] [/sendmail]where the contents of mailconversions.db is as follows:FROM TO %0B space %0D space(note: those are zeros not o's; also the space is just a space)I have been unable to find the character code to send hard returns (as opposed to spaces) in a sendmail; if anyone knows how to do this, please post. One somewhat cumbersome solution would be to set the TO field value to [include space.txt] and having the hard return in a text file. Thanks to everyone for their help.Steve----------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Rosenbaum Pop Art L.L.C. http://pop-art.com steve@pop-art.com Networks / Databases / Multimedia7000 SW Hampton St., Suite 124, tel: (503) 968.5957 Tigard, OR 97223-8361 fax: (503) 620.8487 Associated Messages, from the most recent to the oldest:
