Can anyone verify this behaviour? If right,>then this may be a situation when one would not want to use the technique?I think the problem here is that you're setting text variables to blank instead of setting math variables to zero. Blank is not a valid math value, math values have to be numeric -- not blank. Thus, when you try to reset the blank text variable with a math context, it does not work properly, because the original blank value was never a valid math value to begin with, so webcat knows it's a text value and prevents it from being reset as a math value. It seems to me that if you're going to set math values on the page, you should NOT preset them to a blank value with the text context, because they are not text variables. Instead you should be setting them to zero in a math context. If you do this, I think you will find that using a plain [varname] tag further on down the page *will* display the proper math variable value.:)================================Kenneth Grome, WebDNA Consultant808-737-6499, http://webdna.net================================-------------------------------------------------------------Brought to you by CommuniGate Pro - The Buzz Word Compliant Messaging Server. To end your Mail problems go to
