We have been having the same type of thing with WebCat 3.0.7 The symptom is that webcat (acgi until we run webstar 4.x) keeps serving but all the data going out is 0. To be more accurate, webcat will not return the page and the event times out and the log shows 0 bytes sent. You can see that on the log sample below. To avoid this nasty I have been lowered to having pagesentry on a second machine monitor a WebCat page looking for a failed return and then cut the power to the machine. If I try to manually quit WebCat, because I happen to be there when it happens, WebCat refuses to quit (or even allow me to click on menus. Interestingly enough, if I try to force quit WebCat it will force quit any other application besides WebCat. Only once WebCat is the _LAST_ program left does the force quit attempt to FC WebCat. This started happening to us in 3.0.4 and has followed us into 3.0.7. I just received Web*4.2 in the hopes that something can be done there. Actually, 4.2 will allow us to run the plugin and that alone might stop it, but damn if it hasn't irked me for a few weeks!Alex BTW, plenty of memory in both WEB* and WebCAT. Very slim Web* (not even admin plugin). I have checked the last few pages to work right, but they get loaded thousands (10s of thousands times per day and this crash is only periodic.)
