I talked again to the client and got some more info. What they really want is to work remote with their inhouse system and simultaneously add new records to their webshop, which is hosted by us. So it looks like their system has to write into some ODBC compatible database on our site and we are responsible to pull the records into the WebCat db. I suspect that ODBC is the choice because this guy on the other side is firm writing Excel Sheets out of his application - he does it the whole day... I think we will check the other database periodically or have the working person hit a page to update the shop.
