Le responded (as I descibed earlier) and said to please let her know if the incident occured again as she wanted to try and catch it right when it happened so she would have the best chance of duplicating it on her end.New topic- What you are saying about the cause of the issue implies that Kenji's permissions were improperly set up, no? But didn't you see his post showing his permissions? Here they are again:# ls -l test1* -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 264 Apr 28 11:14 test1-replace.tpl -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody nobody 117 Apr 28 11:35 test1-show.tpl -rw-r--r-- 1 nobody root 16 Apr 28 11:14 test1.dbI am only learning unix (barely even that), so please excuse me if I am the dumb guy here, but doesn't it appear that Kenji's problem is not improper permissions? Or is it that the group 'root' on that db creates a process that is not owned by 'nobody'?I am only motivated to help if I can and be sure I never run into the issue on my own sites again. (Also please excuse if further posts make this one out dated since I am having trouble getting email and seeing today's posts) :-)-John WebDNA Support wrote:> >> > I have found that webcat on Linux can actually have 2 versions > >> > of the same db in ram - > >> > and serve them up alternately. > > This is caused by WebCatalogCtl not being able to see the > already-running version of WebCatalog.
