[replace] and thread memory... (Will Starck 2000)
Here's a puzzler:I have a search page that displays results to itself. The found records havecheckboxes for shipped, backordered, and approved and a text input field forUSPS tracking numbers. The following code works fine and dandy:[formvariables][showif [made_db_changes]=T][replace db=orders.db&eqordernamedata=[ordername]]tracknum=[interpret][tracknum[ordername]][/interpret]&shipped=[interpret][shipped[ordername]][/interpret]&backordered=[interpret][backordered[ordername]][/interpret]&approved=[interpret][approved[ordername]][/interpret][/replace][/showif][/formvariables]The checkboxes use (for example)[replace]ing36x4=144 records simultaneously. Is there some theoretical limit to thenumber of records that can be replaced in a db at any given instant?Or, am I bumping up against some kind of thread memory barrier, or what? DoI need to use [spawn] somehow? The returned HTML is less than 1 MB, AFAIK.WebCat 4.0.1/Apache 1.3.12 OSX. The box is a G4/450 with 256 MB of RAM.Thanks,-- Will StarckProduct and Technical SupportNovaDerm.comhttp://www.novaderm.comtechs@novaderm.comToll free support line: 800-378-1740-------------------------------------------------------------This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list .To unsubscribe, E-mail to: To switch to the DIGEST mode, E-mail to Web Archive of this list is at: http://search.smithmicro.com/
