However there can be a catch-22 type situation. The WebDNA engine auto-populates the domain list if there are available entries (up to the limit of the license). So, if you are installing a new copy of WebDNA 5 for the first time on a busy server, with the web server running, the domain that the engine adds to the list (based on the first page request it receives) might not be the same as the domain you use to browse to the admin page. And if the multi-domain license has not been added to the WebCatalog prefs file, you may not be able to browse to the admin page to be able to change the domain list. At that point you have to edit the domain list manually, and restart the WebDNA process. We may add a grace period to future versions of WebDNA, where the engine will run in 'unlimited domain' mode for a short amount of time, giving the WebDNA admin plenty of time to enter their serial number/s and add their domain entries. > -----Original Message----- > From: WebDNA Talk [mailto:WebDNA-Talk@talk.smithmicro.com]On Behalf Of > andy mowrey > Sent: Tuesday, June 24, 2003 2:47 PM > To: WebDNA Talk > Subject: Re: IP address & domain name problem > > > Hi Scott, > > I've seen this come up before a couple times on this list and dealt > with it myself on my development server; why can't this be changed on > one of the WebDNA admin pages?
